Prepare [to] Meet Satan A.K.A. PMS

Women complain about premenstrual syndrome, but I think of it as the only time of the month that I can be myself.

PMS? They say 5 out of 10 women experience this, but I think that’s a lie. In reality, 8 out of 10 women really experience PMS.

I am definitely not the only one to say that I am not a happy camper when that time of month comes rolling in. But I may be the first to say that it bothers me how crabby and/or emotional I get.

What’s the real reason behind our crazy emotional roller coaster? And why is it we don’t only give men attitude, we also share our bad attitude with the gender that understands what we go through? Women, friends, mother, sisters!

So because I am a curious one to say the least, I did some research to find the truth behind our emotional ups & downs, and this is what I found:

During the month, (before we get our period), we experience various things like break ups, fights with loved ones, being short on money, shalala shalala. Every month is different, yet we do experience things that make us depressed, sad, angry or even frustrated. Most of the time, we hold all of our emotions in. When our period arrives, we are at our most vulnerable with a lot of cramping, and irritability. Because we feel weak, tired and uncomfortable, all of the emotions we held in, come out at full speed. Which, to tell you the truth, [whether we like it or not] is not fair to everyone that has to endure this with us.

That’s why I am going to start changing some things.

If I experience anything throughout the month that brings me any type of emotions, I am going to let it out right then and there. This will hopefully change my attitude when that time of month comes around.

I really think every woman should consider trying it out. It’ll be like some type of experiment that will not only benefit those around us, but also make us feel good about our self.

I am pretty sure you agree with me about how horrible PMS is.

Let’s discuss in the comments below!
